The Playing Field is owned by the Rix Charity and rented to and run by the Parish Council to provide an area for recreational activities for local residents. As well as the large field there are two football goals, a Pavilion which provides changing facilities and toilets for hirers, a play park and many benches to sit back and enjoy the view.

The Parish Council are currently undertaking an ongoing project to improve facilities at the playing field which includes removing the old play equipment and installing a new play park, installing a new car park to provide additional off road parking, removing and replacing the noticeboard and installing some new fencing. The project is being completed in stages with the first piece of new play equipment being installed in January 2023. Alongside the improvements to the play park the Parish Council are working together with the Rix Charity to make some improvements to the Pavilion. In recent years the inside of the building has had the roof repaired and the walls repainted, a new storage area has also been created to improve the use of the inside space. Externally repairs have been carried out to the roof, and the south side of the building has been reclad and had new gutters installed. Future plans include recladding the remainder of the building and replacing the rest of the gutters.
